The latest in preprint innovations from sciety.org, the home of public preprint evaluation.

🚀 What's new?

Group management

We're creating a hub on Sciety for managing your group pages, starting with featuring lists on the group's homepage. When you log in to Sciety as a group representative, you will have administration rights to feature and un-feature Sciety lists on the page.

This means if you have themed collections of reviewed papers, either by topic of interest or perhaps a conference or Peer Review Week activity, you can present these up front on your page and promote it to readers.

We'll be rolling this out over the next couple of weeks to groups on Sciety. As a reminder, Sciety groups are preprint evaluation and review initiatives. We index the review content alongside the preprint, facilitating multiple peer review of the same paper.

Homepage updates

We heard that terminology used by publishers is unfamiliar to many researchers, so instead of focussing on particular terms like preprint, review and curate, we are emphasising the value of rapid dissemination and validation offered by preprints and peer evaluation on the homepage.

🔭 What's next?

One of the key concerns for groups reviewing and curating preprints is knowing that your work is having an impact. As we roll out the group management page, we will include group engagement analytics that provide an overview of interactions with your featured lists.

We'll also be updating our promotional guide for groups to help you share content from Sciety and view the resulting engagement on the site.
