The latest in preprint innovations from sciety.org, the home of public preprint evaluation.

🚀 What's new?

The last couple of weeks on Sciety have seen significant investment in our infrastructure so that we can maintain the application and ensure future scalability. As such, this week's update is more technical in nature and less visible in the product.

  • Work in the newly established eLife Platform Team means that the Sciety team are now able to add secrets to out Sciety demo deployment
  • We have a database that works for our infrastructure demo and we are not overflowing our organisation's platform with Docker pulls
  • We have retired the old, manually created sciety--prod--data-pipeline as the Data Team are using the Infrastructure as Code version

🔭 What's next?

  • We will carry on work to surface Access Microbiology content on Sciety
  • Carry on work to make it easier for groups to feature lists/collections of articles on their group home pages

We are seeing requests for groups to further categorise their preprint evaluations by theme, so want to make this a process that group reps can do without the team having to concierge this in code for them
  • Update our homepage to reflect that Sciety is the place to come to explore the conversation around preprints
